A three-year-old boy didn't hesitate when the Auburn Doubledays offered him a chance to sing the national anthem before a game against the Lowell Spinners. Drake Grillo wowed the crowd as he belted out an adorable rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
Chelsea Grillo, Drake’s mom, told CNYCentral that she "was really nervous" as she stood next to Drake on the field.
"I didn't know how to be calm for him and help him with the words to keep him going, but he really just did it all himself."
Drake will get another opportunity to sing the national anthem on July 29, at a game in which the team is raising money for people with hip dysplasia, a condition that his one-year-old sister Saylor suffers from.
